On Tuesday 23th March 2021 two Black teen girls with a history or car-jacking attempted to steal the car of Uber Eats Driver, Mohammad Anwar, 66.

After electrocuting him with a Tazer they climbed in his car and were about to drive off, but Anwar managed to catch up with them and defiantly inserted himself on the Driver side door, simultaneously attempting to get help from passers by. One of the passersby caught the whole incident in a video clip, which later went viral.

“They’re thieves,” Anwar is heard saying, as he tries to pull the girl out of the car. “This is my car!”

The gobby teens shouted loudly inside the car and after a few moments revving the engine, the driver, to the horror of the unfortunate vehicle owner and those observing, drove off at speed. Accelerating in dangerously out-of-control manner, she overtook a red taxi, with Anwar hanging off the side of the vehicle and banged the open door he was attached to, against obstacles on the pavement.

“She’s stealing his car! They’re stealing the car” Say the amazed observers as the car races up the inner city street before spinning into a howling turn and colliding with something, creating a deafening bang.

The camera operator races up the street to catchup and we see the car lying on its driver side, with the thieves attempting to climb out. National Guard troopers stationed to guard the recently inaugurated Joe Biden, quickly managed to apprehend them.

During this commotion the poor victim can be seen lying where he landed, critically injured, seemingly forgotten by all the Guards, the camera operator and the thieves. His face is smashed down into the pavement and his limbs crumpled at unnatural angles around him.

He had been thrown off the car as it impacted and flipped from colliding with a bike stand on the pavement, creating the huge bang that can be heard in the video. The impact had been powerful enough for the steel bike stand to be torn out the concrete foundation and for the 1.5 tonne Honda Accord to be flipped onto its side. He was to die on arrival at hospital a few hours later.

Anwar had migrated to the US in 2014 from Pakistan and left behind a family with 3 children and grandchildren. His daughter later said during the court sentencing,

“You broke most of the bones in his body. No amount of years you spend in any facility can ever make you go through even one percent of that pain.

“I can never, and will never, forgive you for the pain you caused him.”

The monstrous girls showed no guilt in the clip, and zero concern for the victim, not even taking a glance in his direction. One, displaying incredible levels of self-centeredness, only seemed interested in reclaiming her mobile phone which had been left in the overturned car. We can hear on the video her shouting demands for her phone at the State Troopers.

Due to their young age and in exchange for admitting guilt for murder, the thieves from the local area, the 13 year old from Southeast DC and the 15-year-old from Fort Washington, Maryland, were offered a reduced sentence and the charges of armed carjacking, robbery, and aggravated reckless driving, were dropped. Both will be held in juvenile detention until they reach 21.
